Coca Cola Indonesia's recipes plant in Depok had asked FLOC to refurbish and upgrade their obsolete WWTP to an SBR system. The wastewater is generated from the cleaning of tanks and equipment from various recipes productions (the CIP process). The wastewater has a strong color and extremely fluctuates in COD and pH, very often there is an absence in nutrients, hence the growth of microorganisms is hampered, resulting in low biological performance.Sequenching Batch Reactor
FLOC has been requested by the client to optimize the performance of the reactor to reach the government discharge limit standard. Our team has successfully optimized the operation of the SBR system, starting with seeding (inoculation) of bacteria from another aerobic plant, then regulated the dosing of macro and micro-nutrients, and finally monitored the bacteria growth and pollutant removal efficiency on day-to-day basis in the course of two months.On-Site Parameters Monitoring
Our research and corrective actions on this project has resulted in a good stable growth of microorganisms in the reactor, which was monitored using SV30 method. During this monitoring it was reported that the biological treatment removed all the initial colors and produced clear supernatant during settling phase.Sludge Growth Monitoring
The COD removal efficiency after 2 weeks seeding has reached around 80% and in the 3rd week onwards it continues to increase and level-out at 98%.High Performance in Color & COD Removal
